Join BRJA in viewing the acclaimed documentary by Ava DuVerney about the United States prison system and the continued legacy of racism/white supremacy. The film is titled after the 13th Amendment which theoretically outlawed slavery. However, DuVernay's documentary argues that slavery is being perpetuated through mass incarceration. Following the documentary showing there will be a facilitated discussion.
