The 2020 Uprising forced news outlets to provide prime time coverage to confront the racial disparities and unrelenting unrest that persists in our country. In the months following the summer of global protest, the media zeroed in on the presidential elections, the January 6th Insurrection and the trials of a few Black people murdered by police. While these moments were momentous and crucial to racial justice movement work, it often overshadowed other phenomenal organizing advancements and ludicrous injustices that were treated as “business as usual”.
