Over the years, there has been an uptick of oppressed groups being represented in media, politics, and entertainment. From the nomination of the first Black female Supreme Court Judge to the entertainment industry greenlighting more nuanced POC stories; more people are seeing themselves represented at all levels. For many people, this is a great leap forward. But is it enough? Will representation alone bring us justice and equity?
