BRJA End of Year Fundraising

In the last two years, the country has had front row seats to the damage that mis- and dis-information can do. From book banning, to misrepresentations of CRT and U.S. history, to spreading lies about Black and brown immigrants, we have seen the culmination of such in the results of an election that will change the course of U.S. history -- and impacts the safety of those who are most vulnerable in U.S. society.

BRJA’s work of facilitating transformative change is always needed as the United States remains a country shaped by white supremacy, anti-Blackness, and racism. However, BRJA’s work will be even more essential in the years to come.  We face a federal government and overall climate even more overtly hostile to antiracism/anti oppression work: work necessary to dismantle the anti-Black, white supremacist power structures within most US institutions that disproportionately impact the livelihoods, health, and well-being of Black and non-Black people of color and communities. We will need to tell the full racialized and racist history of the United States. We will need to equip organizations and people for change.  We will need to convene and facilitate learning communities where we all can develop and practice the skills needed for anti-racism/anti-oppression work. In short, we will need to have organizations like BRJA ready to partner in the work. And BRJA will need you as partners.
